Vigenent Inc. announces that VIGENENT Olleya has received INCI ingredient naming. The assignment letter dated 8 October 2026 records the INCI ingredient names Water and Olleya Marilimosa Ferment Extract.
INCI, the International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient system, gives the industry a common ingredient-name reference for formulation, technical documentation and market communication. This assignment makes the ingredient identity of Ollantein® clearer; an INCI name by itself does not establish efficacy, a finished-product claim or regulatory approval in a particular market.
Ollantein® is Vigenent’s commercial ingredient brand. Its research background involves Olleya marilimosa and connects a fermentation-derived ingredient with the evaluation of skincare and nutraceutical applications. Ollantein® contains zeaxanthin but is not equivalent to purified zeaxanthin. Development decisions must also consider composition, specification, safety information, formulation conditions and the requirements of the target market.
For brands, formulation teams and collaborators, a clear INCI identity supports more consistent ingredient communication. Vigenent will continue to ground technical discussions in research records, ingredient information and defined application conditions.
If you are evaluating Ollantein® for skincare, nutraceutical development or ingredient supply, contact Vigenent with your intended product format, target market and development stage so we can begin the appropriate discussion.
